Call for Papers

INCOSE UK are inviting individuals and organisations to submit papers to be delivered at ASEC 2020.

The theme for this year’s ASEC is “The Challenges of Contemporary Systems Engineering”. Within this we will be exploring the following subthemes:

  1. Integrating with new disciplines
  2. Developing new competencies
  3. Evolving current practices
  4. Exploiting emerging technologies and techniques

However, we are open to proposals that do not necessarily fall within a rigid theme, and are keen to accept papers based around a variety of interesting applications in Systems Engineering. All papers must be able to fill a 40-minute presentation timeslot, and should include a five-minute window to allow presenters to answer any questions from their audience.

This year, as well as making all papers and presentations available on our website, we shall also be producing a formal paper copy of the Proceedings. All papers, therefore, must use the INCOSE UK paper template, which will be provided to all authors.

Charterhouse Systems Limited will be sponsoring the Best Paper by a New Author and Presenter. Presenting authors who have not written or presented at a previous INCOSE or INCOSE UK conference will be in with a chance of winning a £200 prize.

There are also prizes for the Best Paper Submissions (1st, 2nd, 3rd), these are awarded during the event dinner.

Finally delegates are asked to vote on the Best Presentation, with prizes being awarded after the conference to the best three.
